The founders, having previously entrusted other sales agents to market and sell their developments, became disillusioned with poor results and excuses from these agents. It was not until they took matters into their own hands and started selling their own products themselves, it became immediately clear that no one went above and beyond when it came to selling their products. Other agents may come in and sell the easy to sell properties, but some properties may require more work in order to achieve the best possible outcome. At Urban Real Estate we pride ourselves in going that extra mile when it comes to your property. With intimate knowledge of the product we sell, we will not rest until the job tasked of us is achieved. 

The same goes for the properties we manage, we really do manage your properties like they are our own. Born in Melbourne, Damon has also lived in Shanghai, China for 6 years. Damon has completed a double degree at the University of Melbourne Majoring in a Bachelors of Commerce and Bachelors of Laws. After spending his early working life at one of the worlds largest Wealth Management and Investment Banking firms, Damon decided to step out and embark on a career in property development which had been a life long passion.

Having driven along and delivered successful developments, Damon noticed that when it came to selling there was no one who cared or knew as much about the development as himself. Becoming disillusioned by the agents excuses for slow progress and results, Damon decided to give it a go selling properties himself. The results were immediately clear and with patience, relentless work ethic, energy, going the extra mile and passion for this industry Damon was able to achieve exceptional results ‘the professionals’ were unable to achieve. Having achieved successful sales of his own developments, Damon went on to attain a Real Estate Agents’ License and subsequently set up Urban Real Estate in the hope of attracting buyers and sellers to an agent who actually cares.

Damon’s previous experience in the corporate environment, especially in strategic investment portfolio management, has given him a unique insight into the economy and all factors that can impact the local property market. Damon’s ability to communicate his knowledge of the economy and the local property market to buyers and sellers has proven extremely effective in achieving the highest possible result.

Damon is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese which allows him to build trust and relationships with both local and overseas buyers. Damon’s ability to network is his strength and his passion and involvement in the property industry has seen him volunteer his time as a committee member for the Australian Property Developers Association (APDA).

Away from work, Damon loves spending time with his two boys and wife. He enjoys sports, especially AFL, formula 1, tennis and golf. Damon enjoys movies, especially thrillers and comedies.

Monika haryanto

Monika is a conscientious and hard-working individual who consistently exceeds expectations. Her strong interpersonal skills, coupled with her attention to detail ensure that a comprehensive client experience is delivered every time. Always willing to go the extra mile to achieve outstanding results, Monika is passionate about addressing every query and concern. A central asset to Urban Real Estate, Monika provides professional, purposeful, and pragmatic advice to lead to successful end results. 

 

Monika has decades of experience in various customer-facing roles spanning multiple industries, from retail to hospitality to tourism. Frequently working in high pressure environments within large scale organisations, Monika has demonstrated her ability to manage competing interests time and time again. Adept at communicating with clients, Monika also harnessed her strong skillset during her time working in immigration advisory services. Having been exposed to a diversity of different situations, it is evident that Monika’s skillset is more than capable of handling any of your real estate needs. 

 

Outside of the office, Monika prioritises her time with her family, and contributing to the wider community. Monika loves to share special moments with her family, enjoying her hobbies to experiment a new recipe to cook for her family, watching movies or travelling.
